di Riboia - history
The history of the villa goes back to the mid-1500s.
Previously owned by a local noble family for centuries, it was occupied
during World War II first by Germans troopes and later by the Italian
Resistance.
The villa and farm entered the Renzoni family’s life thanks to Grandpa
Gino who bought it in the early 50s as a country home. He and his wife
Tina restored it internally and externally and brought back to shape the
beautiful Italian style garden, which surrounds the villa.
Nowadays Luigi and Milvia Renzoni, who inherited the property at the end
of the 80s, have made Villa di Riboia their family residence.
Their children have married and left their family home not long ago and
Luigi & Milvia transformed their two bedrooms into a most exclusive
Bed and Breakfast in Tuscany, which now also benefits from a lovely swimming
pool that looks right out across the olive trees to Florence sitting below
in the valley. Milvia and Luigi have become famous for their hospitality
and friendly approach as well as for the passion they have put in decorating
their home and garden with a truly Italian taste.
